Stranger Things Season 5 is officially coming in three parts! Netflix announced that the final season.
Netflix has formally confirmed that the fifth and final season of its hit series, Stranger Things, will be released in three parts during the 2025 holiday season. This exciting release strategy is intended to build enthusiasm and provide a memorable goodbye to a much-loved series.
The last season will be divided into three parts.
Part 1 – Launching on November 26, 2025, with the first four episodes.
Part 2 – Launching on December 25, 2025, with the next three episodes.
Part 3 – Ending with the last episode on December 31, 2025, which will be the series finale.
The creators anticipate that these will be feature-length episodes, referring to them as “eight blockbuster movies.”
Season 5 takes place in the fall of 1987, more than a year after Season 4. Hawkins is under military quarantine, and the characters are brought together to combat Vecna.
The cast returning is: Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Jamie Campbell Bower. New cast members are Linda Hamilton and Alex Breaux.

According to the Duffer brothers, the new season of Stranger Things has been described as intense, ambitious, and emotionally engaging. Ultimately, they are trying to create a rewarding conclusion to what has been a beloved series since 2016.
The creators have also hinted at future projects within the Stranger Things universe.
“There are more Stranger Things stories to tell, and there are things already in the works,” Matt said. “It’s maybe a bit early to speculate on this stuff, but we are heavily involved in every aspect.
It’s so important to us that anything and everything that carries the Stranger Things name is the best quality possible and not redundant, has purpose, and is breaking new ground on the storytelling front.
And of course, it just has to be awesome. Or we have to think it is awesome. And we have a lot of what we believe are awesome things in production.”
