Jennifer Lopez has confirmed she’s focusing on herself after her divorce from Ben Affleck.
Jennifer Lopez has talked honestly about her life after divorcing actor Ben Affleck. The couple married in 2022 after reuniting from their early 2000s romance and filed for divorce in January 2025.
Now, Lopez is living her best independent life.
At the 2025 American Music Awards, Lopez performed with a lot of energy and mentioned her single status. When comedian Tiffany Haddish jokingly implied that Lopez was “manhunting,” Lopez laughed and said, “I’m not looking for no man. I’m happy right now.”
Lopez underlined her path toward self-love and evolution. “Being in a relationship is not a part of my definition. I can’t be looking to find happiness in others, I have to have happiness in myself.”
Lopez expressed that being “single” can feel “lonely” and “scary,” but she learned to find happiness within herself.
Looking back, Lopez stated that she had once sought fulfillment in relationships and recognizes now that she needed to fill herself with contentment.
She said, “I would say I’m a happy person, but still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, ‘No, I’m good.'”
Lopez is still going strong professionally. She is scheduled to perform as the headliner for WorldPride in Washington, D.C., in June and will begin her “Up All Night” live tour in July. Lopez said she is thrilled about these projects and her ability to share them with her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
Lopez ended, “There is no new bar because I’m not searching for an individual.
She concentrates on personal growth, family, and job, while being sure that I am in this new chapter in my life, confidently and self-assuredly.
